Please note that this is a partial copy of the COL-101 course. It is meant to be a sample course to give an idea of what you might experience when taking an online course. You will be able to explore the course welcome module by clicking Start Here and one other course module by clicking Module 3 below. No assignments, quizzes, or discussions will be able to be submitted since this is just a sample course.
Purpose of the Course
COL 101 is a course for first-time students at St. Charles Community College. It is intended to increase your success at SCC as you transition through your first year of college by addressing a combination of academic, personal/social, career, and life skills.
This is a fully ONLINE course. There are no required virtual on on-campus class meetings. Your instructor will communicate with you through Canvas email and Announcements so be sure to check Canvas regularly.
Module Organization
The online portion of the course is organized into Modules. Each Module covers topics that will help you successfully navigate your time at SCC. The Modules contain important information along with graded assignments and activities you will be required to complete. Your instructor will remind you which Module to be working in each week as well as when assignments and activities are due.
